Have you ever loved a song only to find out the songs
meaning is completely different to what you thought? This has bought many
brides & grooms undone when picking songs for their favourite day, what may
seem like a love song on the surface may actually be a breakup song or
something a lot more deep or sinister, so song choice is critical especially
for those token moments such as the wedding waltz or cutting of the cake. Songs
have special meanings to each individual so it’s hard to tell a client they may
need to re-think their choice because the songs intention or message however
one could argue that the song should be enjoyed for what it is without having
to deconstruct what it actually means. But when your connecting a song to an
life event (wedding, party or funeral) then it’s probably best to get it right
as it will leave a lasting impression.
