A dj can come in many forms , have their own unique way of performing and can use many platforms to create their own style. It doesn't matter what gear you use the only thing that matters if you use it well and put on a show that people will enjoy. There are so many gear choices djs can use it all depends on what you want to achieve and how fancy you want to make your performance.

The Gig Experience

I’ve been a dj for a long time and had some interesting, bizarre & challenging gigs in that time. The gig experience is broken up into many parts from the travel , setup to the gig itself. A mobile DJ is a roadie, sound engineer, rigger, lighting engineer, DJ & musician , just some of the tasks a dj undertakes at every gig .

Choosing The Right Song

Have you ever loved a song only to find out the songs meaning is completely different to what you thought? This has bought many brides & grooms undone when picking songs for their favourite day, what may seem like a love song on the surface may actually be a breakup song or something a lot more deep or sinister, so song choice is critical especially for those token moments such as the wedding waltz or cutting of the cake. Songs have special meanings to each individual so it’s hard to tell a client they may need to re-think their choice because the songs intention or message however one could argue that the song should be enjoyed for what it is without having to deconstruct what it actually means. But when your connecting a song to an life event (wedding, party or funeral) then it’s probably best to get it right as it will leave a lasting impression.

Everyones An Expert

I have had many interactions with punters  & listeners in the crowd over the years that think they know what is best. Whilst I'm always open to requests and suggestions I draw the line at when people start being rude and abusive, its usually when they've had that little too much too drink and start telling you how to do your job.

 As a Party DJ you have a wider audience to cater for, as such your music library is more broader and diverse to accommodate your vast listening audience. With a CD & Digital library of over 20,000 songs you will never have enough music especially when you hear this.......
